According to <i>Al-Fourat</i> newspaper, the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research (MHESR) allocated ID 1 billion to execute a number of research projects proposed by universities and research centers in Iraq. Mr. Mohammed Mubarak, Director of Research Department, said that the ministry had signed 291 contracts with heads of research departments in different universities, research and technical education centers to execute their research projects.
These researches are related to medicine, engineering, banking, administrative and economic studies, agriculture and veterinary. The ministry finances these projects by providing research supplies and instruments, laboratories and equipment.
