ALBAWABA - Israel targeted the "Icom V82" walkie-talkie devices on Wednesday, as part of a new phase of attack targeting wireless devices.

It is known that the battery of this device is large enough to accommodate a larger amount of explosives. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that at least 32 people were killed and over 3,000 others were injured across Lebanon in the attack targeting Hezbollah members.

Icom wireless devices are a variety of communication devices that use different technologies for radio communication. These devices vary to meet different needs, including marine communications, emergency communications, and mobile communications.

Pagers and walkie-talkies are considered safer for communication than cell phones.

Icom is a global manufacturer of advanced communication equipment, including two-way radio systems, aviation electronics, marine navigation systems, and IP-based networks.

Founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1954, it started as an importer of American-made electronic equipment before moving into manufacturing. The first product was a crystal oscillator for radios. The product lines expanded to include marine and aviation radios, land mobile radios for public safety, and commercial industries.
