Aiming to strengthen its market share in the Middle East, IBM has recently introduced new systems and devices into the region’s markets. Al-Anwar daily recently reported that one of the principal devices introduced is the AS/400e system, which enables the user to maximize benefits from using electronic business applications by shortening the time required to process files and documents by computer.
The IBM AS/400e is the world's most popular multi-user commercial business computer. There are presently approximately 700,000 such systems in use by customers in over 150 countries.
Its advantages stem from the fact that it is a powerful, flexible transaction server that can manage and connect a company's core business applications to suppliers, distributors and customers over the Internet. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
