IBM appoints Logicom as its Middle East hardware distributor

IBM Personal Computer Division (PCD) announced the appointment of Logicom Ltd as its distributor in the Middle East, following a partnership agreement concluded between the two parties in Dubai in the first weeks of December.  

 

Logicom will distribute IBM products in twelve countries in the Middle East region including Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, the West Bank, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Yemen and Pakistan. IBM products distributed by Logicom include IBM NetVista desktops and ThinkPad notebooks.  

 

Logicom opened a regional office and warehouse in Dubai in September 2001 and recently established new sales offices and logistic stations in various parts in the Middle East. This expansion is expected will develop Logicom’s distribution network and will simultaneously strengthen the IBM PC market in the region, according to a company press release.  

 

Logicom is a wholesale distributor of software, parts, and peripherals from IT companies such as Microsoft, Intel, Seagate, and Cisco Systems. — (menareport.com)
