The HTC One X9 has been officially announced in China. The One X9 has been in the rumor mill for a long time, and has finally been revealed as a premium smartphone, without the price tag of a premium device.
In terms of specifications, the One X9 comes with a 5.5 inch display in a metal unibody design. On the inside it comes with MediaTek’s Helio X10 processor, comprised of 8x Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.2GHz. The 64-bit chipset is paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU clocked at 700MHz with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It has an UltraPixel front camera and 13MP rear camera with OIS and 4K video recording capabilities. You can also use the camera to get RAW images. The One X9 comes with a large 3000 mAh battery, which HTC claims can last about 15 hours of voice calls over 3G, 10 hours of high definition video playback and 40 hours of uninterrupted music. It also supports fast charging.
As with other HTC flagships, the One X9 has powerful BoomSound speakers on the front, which when coupled with Dolby Audio makes for an immersive audio experience. The speaker holes are also effectively water and dust proof.
The HTC website does not mention which version of the Android OS it is running, but it is expected to be Android Marshmallow. The phone is currently priced at roughly $370 and is a China exclusive for now.
