HP has continued to consolidate its position as the leading PC vendor in the Middle East according to recently released figures from International Data Corporation (IDC). Current market share across all of the product ranges across desktop, notebook and PC servers in the Middle East currently stands at 19.4 percent for the fourth quarter of 2002.
Across the region, market share on the desktop was 18 percent in the fourth quarter last year while notebooks stood at 25.9 percent. Also In the Egyptian market place, HP Middle East has preserved its number one positioning in the PC Server Market, demonstrating a 48.7 percent market share. In notebooks, HP is well ahead of its competitors at a 31.2 percent market share.
HP is a provider of products, technologies, solutions and services to consumers and businesses. The company's offerings span IT infrastructure, personal computing and access devices, global services and imaging and printing.
