HP and Banque du Liban have announced the results of their feasibility study to evaluate secure network infrastructure and online connections among the financial sectors in Lebanon. The partnership has identified 13 key projects as priorities in repositioning Lebanon as a regional financial center, and discussions are currently underway to extend the project to other sectors in the country.
The feasibility study was undertaken by HP with Banque du Liban, Lebanon’s central bank, representatives of the Lebanese Banking Association and the banks in Lebanon and was financed by the US Trade Development Agency (USTDA), BDL, ABL and HP.
HP in the Middle East employing about 500 people in the region. HP has been present in the Middle East since 1968, and opened its first regional office in 1994 and has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar servicing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Levant and Egypt. — (menareport.com)
