Al-Futtaim Sons, the Hertz franchisee in the UAE, is offering a 40 percent Ramadan discount on the normal rack rate for certain categories of cars—excluding Group A and B vehicles—until December 12. The discounts are available to customers paying by credit card.
Hertz UAE has also introduced a special incentive to customers leasing over two, three and four years or renting cars on a monthly basis. Up until the year’s end, those renting a car for a minimum of one month will receive up to 100 Emirati dirhams ($27) of free fuel for the month, and those who lease a car for at least two years will be receive one year’s free fuel supply, to a value of Dh 1,500.
“We are constantly looking at ways to extend car rental and leasing benefits for customers, and one of our aims is to build customer loyalty by giving them the best deals all year round,” said Nitin Sapre, sales and marketing manager of Hertz Division, Al Futtaim Sons Co.
Hertz UAE, which opened its first branch in Abu Dhabi in August, also operates five Hertz branches in Dubai, on the Airport Road, at the Sheraton Towers, the Ramada Hotel, at Dubai International Airport and at Jebel Ali Free Zone, as well as two in Sharjah in Al-Mena Street and the international airport.
Since the start of 2000, Hertz has expanded its regional network of car rental branches from 35 to 65. In the Middle East, Hertz is represented by franchise operations in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE and Yemen, and by general sales agents in Saudi and Bahrain.
