Gulf visitors to Oman's tropical oasis resort of Salalah during the coming Kharif monsoon season will be able to take advantage of a new Hertz car rental service allowing them to explore the region's natural phenomenon.

Hertz Oman is establishing a temporary counter in Salalah International Airport to provide comprehensive car rental services during the monsoon season between mid-July and mid-September.

Visitors from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other parts of the Gulf flock to Salalah in their hundreds during this period, when the monsoon brings a relief from soaring summer temperatures, and produces a dramatic explosion of greenery, and gushing waterfalls.

With the hills and valleys of Salalah lush from tropical rainfall, 4WD transport is essential for those eager to follow the spectacular monsoon trail, and annual visitors will welcome the latest initiative by National Travel and Tourism, the Hertz franchisee in Oman.

Hertz operates from approximately 7,000 locations in more than 150 countries. In the Middle East, Hertz is represented by franchise operations in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE and Yemen, and by general sales agents in Saudi and Bahrain. — (menareport.com)
