Gulf Jet, a pioneer private airline in the region, signed a strategic partnership with JetEx during the 11th Dubai Air Show held at Airport Expo Dubai on November 15th.  The contract, in which Gulf Jet will consult with JetEx in developing their various flight services, is estimated at a value of Dhs 30 million. Mr. Hussein Al Meeza, Chairman of Gulf Jet, and Mr. Adel Al Mardini, CEO of JetEx, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.  The signing was also attended by Mr. Ian McEwan, CEO of Gulf Jet, Mr. Mohammed Al Meeza, Gulf Jet’s Managing Director, Mr. Salem Youssef, Head of Business Development for JetEx, and Mr. Mohanad Wadaa, JetEx General Manager.

Commenting on the partnership agreement, Mr. Hussein Al Meeza, Chairman of Gulf Jet, said: “As Gulf Jet re-enters the local market, we have enlisted JetEx as an independent consultant to assist us in developing the strongest private fleet in the MENA region.  JetEx’s experience in international markets is both impressive and relevant to the challenges facing our company today, and we look forward to a long-standing relationship with them in the future.”

Working in the development of charter solutions, ground operations, and flight support for private aviation fleets, JetEx is an ideal partner for Gulf Jet as they return to the market after several years of corporate restructuring.

Gulf Jet aims to provide innovative services for distinguished clientele who require air travel tailored to their unique status and requirements. This includes government officials, businessmen, and medical patients who are in dire need of air transportation that can meet their needs.

“Gulf Jet has the capacity to be a leader in the market,” says Mr. Adel Al Mardini, CEO of JetEx. “After discussing the new direction that the company wants to go, we were immediately attracted to this partnership, and are glad that Gulf Jet has chosen us as a regional partner.”

According to Gulf Jet, there are a number of factors in the marketplace that are increasing the demand for private aviation in the Middle East.   In light of the extensive economic investments being developed in the region, especially foreign direct investment, there has been a sharp increase in the number of travellers between the Middle East and the rest of the world. Commercial aviation has tried to respond effectively, but businessmen still say they are losing money because of congested flights and “No Vacancy” announcements.  Private aviation is the ideal solution.   By partnering with manufacturers and airports throughout the region, Gulf Jet is confident that their newly rebranded services will be able to offer clientele a unique option for flexible air travel.
