An advisor to the Saudi King Fahd was recently quoted in Asia Pulse, stating that businessmen from Saudi Arabia, as well as from other Gulf countries, are willing to invest a sum of approximately $2 billion in Indonesia.
Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Alwi Shihab, attending a meeting of 50 Gulf businessmen in Indonesia, acknowledged their interest in his country, despite the violent incidents occurring lately, adding, “We have explained to them the real problems confronting Indonesia”. He revealed also the plans of the Saudi Foreign Minister to visit Indonesia this spring. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
