Engineer Mokram Sa’ed, the manager of the maintenance and construction
department at the Iraqi ministry of labor and social affairs, announced
that the ministry, within the investment plan, will implement
investment projects worth US$10 billion. In interview with <i>Al-Ahli</i> newspaper, engineer Mokram said that the plan includes the implementation of five huge projects in Baghdad with the cost of ID9.651 billion. According to
the newspaper, Mokram disclosed that since the fall of the former
regime, the ministry has set plans and strategies to repair and construct
many governmental buildings. He revealed that the ministry had completed
11 buildings with an overall cost of ID602.534 million.
