ALBAWABA – The government announced a public holiday in Kuwait later this week in celebration of the birthday of Prophet Mohammad, official news agency KUNA reported.
The public holiday in Kuwait will fall on Thursday, September 28, with the weekend following, turning it into a three-day holiday.

Muhammad, in full Abū al-Qāsim Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib ibn Hāshim, was born in approximately 570 AD in Mecca, Arabia, now Saudi Arabia.
He was born on 12 Rabi Al Awwal (around 29 August 570 CE), in the third month of the Muslim lunar calendar. The prophet died on his birthday at the age of 63.
The prophet's birthday celebrations were first observed in the 12th century, often followed by a month of festivities. In Singapore, the celebrations used to involve large-scale parades.
