Additionally, Shazeer previously collaborated with his colleagues at Google to develop a chatbot called ‘Min’, designed to provide rich interactive experiences. However, Google executives chose not to release it back then to the public due to safety concerns.
Shazeer co-founded Character AI, an innovative chatbot platform that leverages sophisticated language models to facilitate conversations with users. Google aims to benefit from Shazeer’s expertise in developing an AI model that could exhibit human-like intelligence.
Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, stated about Shazeer’s capabilities during a talk at Stanford University in 2015 by saying: “If there's anybody I can think of in the world who's likely to do it, it's going to be him.”
