The Global Entertainment and Media Exhibition (GEMEX) to be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Center March 4-6, 2003, is drawing a positive response from a range of industry sectors, including key publishers, marketers, broadcasters, cable and satellite organizations in Europe and the Middle East, according to a company press release.

The exhibition is being organized by the Dubai World Trade Center and Dubai Media City with the support of International Conferences & Exhibitions (IC&E), and will feature an enhanced product profile in 2003 and be complemented by a series of seminars, conferences and workshops being organized by Gambate! Communications Consultants, aimed at providing media professionals with an opportunity to learn about the newest trends and technologies fuelling growth of the media industry in the region and globally.

“Content in the Middle East is a very big issue. The wealth of satellite stations and networks sending signals to the region has created overwhelming demands for enterprising content and programming budgets continue to escalate. GEMEX will help support a convergence of technical understanding and business opportunities in this realm with a wholesome array of lucrative opportunities in the content world of the media and entertainment industry. An event that can help merge product and equipment solutions with an opportunity to explore content issues and address needs related to content is a valuable and important asset for the region,” said Hussein Anani, public relations manager of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Radio and TV. — (menareport.com)
