The city of Giza has allotted 27 million Egyptian pounds ($6.8 million) to establish drinking water projects through the current year 2001 through 2002.
Governor of Giza Mahmud Abu-Lil stated that the funds would be allocated for the completion of projects that were already underway as well as for the establishment of several new projects, according to Al-Ahram daily.
One such project will be a water supply station valued at an estimated EP five million. Daily output of the plant is expected to be some 34,000 cubic meters of water. –(MENA Report)
