According to <i>Almendhar</i>, a German envoy has granted the amount of 12,000 Euro for the German language at the faculty of languages at Baghdad
university. The grant was given to Dr. Mousa Almosawi , the university
president and Dr. Deyaa Aldin Nafaa the college Dean and Dr. Fouad
Mohammad the department president.
An official at the university said this amount would be used to renew
and renovate lecture halls in the department. Worth to mention that is
not the first time that Germany provides assistance to the Department of
German Language in Iraq; In August o2004 Berlin gave to the university
a grant that included also 11,000 books.
