German aircraft charterer ProAir-Charter-Transport has forecasts the Middle East aviation market for double-digit annual growth over the next seven years, with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) taking the bulk of development.
The company says the region’s aircraft fleet will increase by almost a third, mainly with wide-bodied aircraft, and general aviation business will rebound following the ending of the Iraq crisis.
ProAir-Charter-Transport is hoping to capitalize on the growth with the planned introduction at Dubai 2003, the eighth international aerospace exhibition, of new aircraft management services.
"We have been involved with the Middle East for a number of years working through a partner in Dubai. Recently we have carried out freight flights for a Royal family in the region as well as several flights affiliated with the Iraq relief efforts," explained Managing Director, ProAir-Charter-Transport, Elmar Monreal.
"We have also submitted several tenders for long-term contracts for our Falcon-aircraft, have lease agreements from Dubai for the Falcon 2000/900 and from Riyadh for the Falcon 20,” added Monreal.
ProAir-Charter-Transport has participated is one of 16 German firms contracted for a national pavilion, which is being organized by Messe Berlin in association with the Official German Trade Information Center. Three other German companies will exhibit independently.
To date exhibitors from 23 countries have signed up for Dubai 2003, which will be held at the Airport Expo Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from December 7-11. The show, organized by Fairs & Exhibitions (F&E), has national or industry pavilion commitments from Italy, the Czech Republic, UK, US, France, Germany, Russia, and, for the first time, the Ukraine and Switzerland. — (menareport.com)
