GAC Bahrain Appointed as Cargo Outsourced Agent by Jazeera Airways

Leading shipping and logistics service provider GAC Bahrain has been chosen by Jazeera Airways as its Cargo Outsourced Agent effective from May 1, 2010.

The exclusive agreement marks the beginning of Jazeera Airways’ cargo operations in Bahrain. It was signed by GAC Board of Director Mohammed Adel Fakhro, and Monzer Najia, Vice President and General Manager of Boodai Aviation – Jazeera Airways’ Cargo Outsourced Sole Agent worldwide.

 

Sole sales and operations arm
GAC Bahrain will be in charge of managing the dedicated sales and operations staff for the cargo division.  “To successfully kick-start our cargo operations in a new market and grow our business, it is important to have a strong local partner with in-depth experience. GAC Bahrain is a natural choice due to their long standing presence in the market as well as proven sales and operational capabilities,” Robert Hayek, Director of Sales & Operations from Boodai Aviation  said.

The fast growing airline flies to 21 destinations, predominately in the Middle East.  Jazeera Airways currently operates a fleet of 11 A320 aircrafts. It operates 14 flights a week from Bahrain.

Dedicated operations with value-added options
As part of its commitment to the new partnership, GAC is investing more resources in sales and operations staff who will be housed in a dedicated office in GAC’s modern multi-modal facility located at the Global Logistics Services (GLS) compound in Muharraq ideally situated near the airport.

“Customers benefit from our on-site customs and technologically advanced 24/7 operations including x-ray machines and tarmac access for prompt cargo clearance. In addition, they can also leverage GAC’s existing suite of services for additional service capabilities and flexible delivery options to the end destination,” adds Gronberg.
