Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) recently supplied the Dubai-based freight forwarding company, Freight Systems with its Intel-based Xeon Primergy rack server. Galadari Computers, one of FSC's partners in the region, supplied the server that will handle the total supply chain management system at Freight Systems, confirmed a press release.
The enterprise-class computing server that has been supplied to Freight Systems supports key infrastructure and accommodates rapid technology developments to sustain an integrated system that links the shipper, consignee and the destination agent through the Freight Systems network. In addition, it facilitates the setting up of a total supply chain management system that allows for online tracking of information about shipments and purchase orders.
The Fujitsu Siemens Computers range of servers are designed specifically for decentral installation with minimal operator supervision on site. A range of availability functions plus an extensive suite of remote management options offer the security that the server will continue running even when there is no one in attendance to direct operations. The Primergy rack servers are powerful application and database servers that can answer to demands for processor scaling within a system.
With freight forwarding as its core activity, FSL has diversified into logistics, removals and buyer consolidation, complementary services requiring similar infrastructure and capabilities. FSL was appointed the sole Stockiest and Distributors of Castrol Marine for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 1988 on behalf of Castrol Middle East. The company has a network of offices spread over Middle East region and Indian subcontinent. — (menareport.com)
