French linen producer Chamberlin has reached a United Arab Emirates (UAE) exclusive distribution agreement with a Dubai-based company at Motexha Spring, the international fashion and retail exhibition currently underway at the Dubai World Trade Center.
The deal has led to the creation of Chamberlin-Dubai, a company headed by UAE national Hessa Al-Qassimi, and could result in Chamberlin-Dubai taking the entire Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) distribution rights, according to a company press release.
"The prospects are good," said Cecilia Ferreira of Chamberlin. "Already Chamberlin-Dubai has taken orders for palaces in Dubai, private buyers and is making inroads into the hospitality industry."
Chamberlin is a small entrepreneurial company. In its pursuit of global business it has chosen Motexha as a platform from which they can reach the wider Middle East, North Africa and Sub-continent markets. Motexha is held twice yearly in spring and autumn. This spring the show has added focus on the bridal and sportswear segments. — (menareport.com)
