Foreign investors purchase AED 1.533 billion worth of shares on DFM during last week

Dubai Financial Market announced today that the value of shares and bonds bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, during last week (August 19 - August 23) reached AED 1.533 billion comprising 34 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. 

The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached AED 1.963 billion comprising 43.4 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net foreign investment on the market reached AED 430 million  during the same period.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during last week reached AED 1.216 billion comprising 27 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached AED 1.437 billion which constitutes 31.8 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net institutional investment on the market reached AED 220.7 million during the period.
