ALBAWABA – Ford, the American multinational automobile manufacturer, announced the donation of $1 million and a fleet of vehicles to support President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.

Ford Motor Company stated that it donated $1 million and a fleet of vehicles to support President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony in January.

According to sources, the company is concerned about the new tariffs and electric vehicle policies and regulations that will be implemented during Trump’s presidency. Ford, like other companies, is struggling to increase sales and effectively market its electric car models.

Jim Farley, Ford Motor President and CEO, said: “Given Ford's employment profile and importance in the U.S. economy and manufacturing, you can imagine the administration will be very interested in Ford's point of view.”

It is worth noting that President-elect Donald Trump previously proposed imposing heavy tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, as well as eliminating a tax break for electric cars that benefits several companies, including Ford.

Major companies supporting Trump

Additionally, multiple major companies donated to Trump’s inauguration ceremony earlier this month, including Amazon and Meta Platforms.

Previously, Trump raised approximately $106.7 million for his 2017 inauguration ceremony, while President Joe Biden raised around $61.8 million for his 2021 inauguration ceremony, with contributions from major companies including Pfizer, AT&T and Boeing.
