House rents in Doha have dropped significantly within 10 days after conclusion of the Doha Asian Games, real estate agents told the Peninsula. Industry sources attribute the decline to the availability of more flats after the Asian Games coupled with a lower demand from prospective tenants.
Many residential buildings had been rented by firms which came to Qatar to carry out projects related with the Asian Games. They have now left the country, causing a sudden boom in supply in the real estate market.
