A commercial ship landed in Yemen's southern port city of Aden on Friday, AFP reported, making it the first commercial ship in the country since Saudi-led coalition airstrikes began in March.
Port Deputy Director Aref al-Shaabi said the ship carried 350 containers of products businesses in Aden ordered, and more ships were expected to arrive in the city soon.
"This signals the return of life to the port of Aden," Shaabi told AFP, adding it would benefit the other southern provinces also reclaimed by pro-government forces.
Aden was retaken by troops loyal to exiled President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi last month, reinstating some stability to the southern port. The first commercial plane in Aden carrying Yemeni nationals landed earlier this month.
