International express transportation company Federal Express Corporation appointed Guillaume Sauzier as the new regional sales manager for Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, Oman, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

In his new position, Sauzier will focus on maintaining FedEx's service standards and increasing market share, according to a company press release. “This appointment further strengthens FedEx's position within the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Sub-Sahara Africa and marks the company's continued commitment to the region,” the statement added.

With over eight years of distribution, logistics and management experience, Sauzier joined FedEx in 1999 as district sales manager for Paris and the west of France. He now joins a regional sales team based in Dubai and will report to Jude Fonseka, the managing director of sales for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Sub-Sahara Africa Region.
