The high-end fashion house Balenciaga is getting slammed after releasing a $1,190 pair of sweatpants by social media users, Black history experts for what they call is cultural appropriation.

The “Trompe-L’Oeil” sweatpants sparked public outrage because it features sewn-in hip hop style boxers peeking out from the waistband.
Sagging or baggy low-slung pants are wearing trousers or jeans significantly below the waist revealing underpants that originated by hip hop artists in the 1990s.

Howeverm this is not the first time that Balenciaga was under the fire. An in 2018, the luxary brand apologised after a video went viral showing the mistreatment of Chinese shoppers in Paris.
The hashtag #BoycottBalenciagaDiscriminatesAgainstChinese was viewed at least 29 million times back then.

Also, popstar Rihanna wore a big black Balenciaga gown.
Accroding to The New York Post, the demand for the Spanish fashion house slid 27 percent citing data from LoveTheSales.com, a London-based online sale and clearance outlet.
Balenciaga was founded in 1919 by the Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga in San Sebastián, Spain, and now is based in Paris.
