A recruitment agency which was named after an Emirati but run by an expatriate has had its licence suspended by the Ministry of Labour.
The ministry ruled the company, owned by an Emirati, had violated its licensing terms.
The licence was suspended via a resolution issued by Saqr Gobash Saeed Gobash, Minister of Labour.
It stipulated the agency’s bank guarantee will be withheld until the agency’s commitments towards all other parties are met.
Humaid Bin Deemas Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs, said the owner had committed a serious violation as the only relation between him and the agency was that it was named after him.
All matters relating to the agency’s management were delegated to an expatriate, who was not registered at the ministry and did not have the legal capacity for the job.
