Exchanges on Dubai financial markets down

The quarterly report released by the Dubai Financial Market Authority reveals that the value of exchanges on the market declined to 204.3 million Emirati dirhams ($55.6 million) during the second quarter of 2001.  

 

This figure represents a drop from Dh 228.3 million posted during the first quarter of the current year, reports Al-Bayan daily.  

 

In addition, the quarterly report showed that the volume of traded stocks on the market declined to 12,113,950 shares during the second quarter of 2001, down from 14,353,273 shares in the first quarter of the same year. These figures reflect a 15.6 percent fall. –(MENA Report)
