Canada’s Environmental Sensors Inc. (ESI) announced developments following the appointment of Israel’s Netafim Ltd, as an exclusive distributor for its GroPoint soil moisture monitoring product line.
Netafim has placed an initial purchase order for 500 GroPoint sensors and related software with ESI. In addition, Netafim has commenced an intensive campaign to introduce ESI's products to several international markets, identified as having the most immediate interest to both companies.
From June through the next six months, Netafim will host several conferences for key agricultural professionals and growers to introduce its Crop Management Technology (CMT), in which ESI's GroPoint Sensors play an important role.
Netafim will be installing GroPoint in multiple pilot project sites in the coming months in Europe, Africa, South America, Australia and in the Middle East. Netafim is also planning to participate in significant trade shows and exhibitions in these areas, and in the world's largest Greenhouse conference, which will be held in Holland.
Netafim, the pioneer of drip irrigation techniques, is today one of the world's largest irrigation systems companies, providing innovative solutions that increase crop yields and preserve scarce water resources.
With over 1500 employees, 12 manufacturing facilities in eight countries, 28 subsidiaries, and distribution presence in over 100 countries, Netafim boasts global sales of approximately $250 million, and over 30 billion emitters in operation.
ESI is a leading developer and manufacturer of patented and proprietary systems for water management. ESI products have been introduced into over 40 countries to manage irrigation systems, monitor water quality, the integrity of landfill covers, and most recently into the oil and gas sector to measure the volumetric presence of water pumped from producing oil wells. — (menareport.com)
