The Emirates National Oil Company stated it is not involved with the recent contract reportedly signed between Iranian and United Arab Emirates (UAE) companies for the long term export of Iranian gas to the Emirates.
“Though we have seen a press report about the contract attributed to an official of the National Iranian Gas Export Co, ENOC actually has no detailed knowledge of it and has not signed such a contract,” an ENOC spokesman said in Dubai today.
“ENOC understands that an arrangement has been made with a private company in the Gulf area, but ENOC is not a party to it.”
The ENOC Group has a diverse range of interests from petroleum retailing to refining, from shipping to information technology. The Group was set up in 1993 to serve as a catalyst for economic diversification in the downstream and upstream markets. — (menareport.com)
