ALBAWABA - Emirates Minting & Refinery, one of the largest global providers of world-class high-quality gold and silver products, as well as services within the precious metal industry, announced the production of the world’s largest gold bar, weighing over 300 KG.

World’s largest gold bar in Dubai

The 300 KG gold bar was recognized as the world’s largest by Guinness World Records.

Government of Dubai Media Office, stated: “Emirates Printing Factory has set a new world record for Dubai by producing the largest gold bar weighing over 300 kg. The Guinness Book of World Records certificate was awarded to commemorate this achievement during the closing ceremony of the Precious Metals Conference in Dubai.”

Based on the current gold price of nearly $2,670 per ounce, the largest gold bar in history is worth approximately $25.755 million.

Emirates Minting & Refinery recently celebrated this accomplishment as it aims to maintain Dubai’s status as a leader in gold production, often referred to as ‘the city of gold.’

It is worth mentioning that a recent report from the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) revealed that the UAE surpassed the United Kingdom in gold trade. The UAE’s trade value exceeded $129 billion, marking an annual increase of nearly 36% in 2023.
