An AED1 billion investment portfolio to invest in various real estate projects in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be launched in 2007, the board of directors of Emirates Bank announced Monday.

According to Kuna, the portfolio will be completely owned by the bank, with the possibility of cooperating with other firms in the construction field to market real estate, commercial and housing ventures, the Bank's General Manager Abdulaziz Al-Zaabi said in a press statement. He projected a 20 percent profit from the real estate investment projects.
