Emarat Link's new twice-daily flights between Fujairah and Dubai have been hailed by senior airline and civil aviation department officials as a welcome addition to passenger transport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Gulf region's only amphibious commercial aircraft operator launched the new service on Saturday, establishing a link for business and leisure travelers between Fujairah and the northern Emirates, and Dubai.

The company has been operating a selection of 45-minute, 20-minute and ten-minute sightseeing tours in and around Dubai for several months. Following the launch of the Dubai-Fujairah service, the next step will be the introduction shortly of a shuttle service from the Abu Dhabi Corniche to Dubai Creek, according to a company press release.

In Dubai, Emarat Link offers departures from its floating terminal opposite Deira City Center next to the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club. — (menareport.com)
