Emaar.com earned top accolades at the Pan Arab Web Awards 2006 held recently in Amman, Jordan. The company’s easy-to-navigate, highly functional website drew the Golden Award in the Corporate Category, with Emaar’s flagship Burj Dubai project garnering a second special recognition in the Real Estate Category for its Burjdubai.com website.

The win follows closely on the heels of the UAE Web Awards held in March where Emaar won two golden awards for Best Corporate Website (www.emaar.com) and Best Real Estate Website (www.burjdubai.com).

“As the leading property developer, Emaar continues to be at the forefront of Dubai’s real estate industry in every sphere of activity, including our online communications,” said Claire Murphy, Marketing Manager, Emaar Properties, who accepted the award in Jordan along with Noaf Tahlak, Senior Marketing Executive, Emaar Properties.

“In an increasingly competitive real estate market, the emaar.com and burjdubai.com websites are vital marketing and awareness tools capable of reaching audiences at any time and in any part of the world,” said Noaf Tahlak. “These websites are our digital signature.”

Emaar’s corporate website www.emaar.com includes a virtual tour of its properties, a portal of the latest Emaar news and share prices and a ‘coming soon’ section providing information on upcoming projects.

The www.burjdubai.com website recreates the sleek and stylish design of the Burj Dubai tower – the tallest tower in the world when completed in 2008 and provides detailed information about the various components that make up the 500-acre Burj Dubai Downtown development.

Emaar Properties worked with online agency Flip Media to create the visually spectacular and user-friendly sites.

The Pan Arab Web Awards, organized under the patronage of the Arab League and the Jordanian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, are held annually to recognize innovative and creative web and business developers in the Arab world, raise regional standards of web design, advocate the growth and development of regional talent, promote greater awareness of intellectual property and encourage more industries and sectors to get involved in the digital economy.

Judged by a panel of university professors and industry specialists, the Pan Arab Web Awards drew more than 120 contenders over 21 categories, ranging from banking and financial websites to personal spaces.
