ALBAWABA - Elon Musk's proposals to recruit "highly intelligent revolutionaries" for President-elect Donald Trump's Ministry of Government Efficiency were audacious. Musk's unusual employment offer includes pro gratis labor for over 80 hours a week to minimize government waste.
Musk announced the decision on "X," stating, "We need talented individuals to address government inefficiencies. If interested, submit resume immediately. Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy will evaluate the top 1%."
The program seeks to cut bureaucracy by one-third and $2 trillion from the federal government's $6.5–7 trillion budget. Musk said that "Temporary sacrifices are needed to achieve long-term savings."
Musk promised to post all government decisions publicly. In a later remark, he said the US faces a catastrophic financial crisis and must improve government efficiency to avoid national bankruptcy. I hope I'm wrong, but doubt it."
He stated that certain parties profiting from government inefficiencies may resist the reforms, but the effort is necessary to avert financial catastrophe.
"Security will be critical for this mission, but it has to be done," he said.
Like the WWII "Manhattan Project" that created nuclear weapons, President-elect Trump called the Ministry of Government Efficiency revolutionary. He remarked, "Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are exceptional leaders who will help dismantle government inefficiency, eliminate excessive regulations, and restructure federal agencies."
Musk was Trump's campaign ally, providing over $100 million to his win.
Trump, Musk, and Ramaswamy want to save costs and set a new federal efficiency standard by modernizing and streamlining government.
