ALBAWABA - A group of former Twitter executives recently filed a lawsuit seeking millions of dollars in unpaid severance against Elon Musk and his business X.

The turbulent events surrounding Musk's purchase of the business in October 2022 are at the center of the case. Soon after the takeover, Musk fired Agrawal, Chief Legal Officer Vijaya Gadde, CFO Ned Segal, and General Counsel Sean Edgett.

As to the court document, Musk was said to harbor resentment towards this particular group because of the protracted acquisition procedure. Agrawal is allegedly owed $128 million in severance pay, with Segal owing $44.5 million, Gadde $20 million, and Edgett $6.8 million.

The lawsuit claims that Musk rushed to end the Twitter arrangement early despite still paying severance payments, using biographer Walter Isaacson's testimonies as support.

According to Isaacson's account, Musk boasted about making nearly $200 million through legal wrangling. Musk is also charged in the case with failing to fulfill his financial obligations, disobeying regulations, and misusing his position of authority to punish opponents.

Musk is accused of fabricating bogus claims, paying plaintiffs severance money after firing them without cause, and appointing staff from his other businesses to support his conduct. The former owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, has not yet addressed these charges.
