Egypt's foreign reserves amount to $14.975 billion

Egypt's foreign reserves in the Central Bank amounted to $14.975 billion in November 2004, compared to $14.785 billion in October, a report released by the Central Bank has indicated.

 

It added that Egypt has paid off $4 million to the crediting countries (Paris Club members) out of the national debt.

 

According to the report, total exports in the first quarter of fiscal year 2004/2005 hit US$3.115 billion compared to US$3.048 in the last quarter of previous year, adding that fuel exports took the lead by $1.264 billion against $1.1 billion. On the country's imports, it stated that they hit US$5.308 billion against $5.349 billion.
