Egypt's exports to Brazil surged 74% in three years, the Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA) reported on September 8th.
The Egypt-Mercosur free trade agreement, signed in 2017, had its third anniversary on September 1st.
Since the deal's effective date, Egypt's imports from Brazil climbed 21.1%, the news agency cited the National Confederation of Industries (CNI).
Over 2,000 items, under the deal, were made tariff-free.
Tariffs, as of September, are lifted on 463 items from Egypt to Mercosur, and 719 from Mercosur to Egypt.
