The Egyptian Misr Bank recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Barclays Card Association to develop electronic payment services in local markets, reports Al-Gomhuria daily.
The Barclays Association will provide various forms of technical assistance, including consultation regarding possible programs for credit card holders.
Misr posted a 20 percent drop in net profits for 2000, down to $53 million from $66 million the previous year. –(MENA Report)
