Egyptair to purchase two Boeings

The Chief Executive of the EgyptAir Corporation, Mohammed Fahim, is expected to shortly sign a $160 million loan contract in London, repored Al-Sharq Al-Awsat

 

EgyptAir will use this loan to purchase two Boeing 777 airplanes. The loan is organized by the New York Bank, Misr Bank and some other Japanese, British, German and Arab banks.  

 

The airline is expected to receive the first aircraft in mid-September and the second in October 2002. The Egyptian air-carrier is planning to purchase 14 Airbus planes in the upcoming 10 years. — (Mena Report)
