Incoming tourism to Egypt will be one of the first sectors in the region to feel the negative effect of the terrorist attacks on the United States.

In a matter of only two weeks' time since the devestating incidents took place, tourism revenues in Egypt have dropped by three percent, as compared to last year’s figures, Egyptian Minister of Tourism Mamduh Biltaji was quoted by the Cairo-based Al-Gumhuria as saying.

He was speaking at the opening of the second session of Egypt’s tourism bourse. Biltaji added that the effect of the attacks would be measured in the coming days according to the nature and magnitude of the US retaliatory attacks. -- (Mena Report)
