The Egyptian Minister of Health, Ismael Salam, recently announced that the government would cover the cost of medical care for those who could not afford it through the end of the current year, reported Al-Ahram daily.

He added that one billion Egyptian pounds ($253 million) would be provided for the services, reflecting an increase of 20 percent in such subsidies compared with last year. ― (MENA Report)
