The Egyptian Minister of Supplies and Internal Commerce, Hassan Khadhr, revealed that the cabinet is currently preparing a new program to market national products in the domestic markets through cooperation amongst all chambers of commerce, four major banks and the central bank, reported Al-Ahram . The new plan permits local employees to transfer their salaries to magnetic credit cards. This card enables the employee to spend up to 25 percent of his salary on national merchandise purchases. The involved parties are planned to allocate one billion Egyptian Pounds to the program in the first phase. In future phases, other segments of the Egyptian community will have the same chance awarded to the state- employees. — (menareport.com)
