Marking Egypt’s new efforts to become more environment-friendly, the Minister of Electricity and Energy Ali Al-Saidi recently stated that his ministry plans to expand the use of natural gas, replacing petroleum in all local electricity generation stations.
In addition to protecting the environment, the use of natural gas in electricity stations is more cost-effective, due to the difference between gas and petroleum prices. — (Mena Report)
