Egypt is planning to purchase 400 cars from the Honda Automobile (Thailand) Company, Thai Ambassador to Cairo Warawit Kanithasen told Bangkok Post. The Egyptians are expected to take delivery of Thai-made Honda City vehicles, which are sub-compact segment passenger cars. Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd is part of the Japanese Honda Group.
The mid-size car market in the region will grow by 10 percent in the coming year due to new standards in international quality, performance and price that are being made available to Middle East consumers, according to Japanese automobile-maker Honda. In the Middle East, Honda Accord sales are expected to top 10,000 units during 2003. That will push cumulative Accord sales in the region to more than 50,000 units for the past six years. — (menareport.com)
