Egypt to invest E£ 514 million in telecom projects

The Egyptian ministry of telecommunications and information has recently decided to allocate 514 million Egyptian pounds (E£) of this year’s budget toward the development of new telecom projects. 

 

This decision, reported in Al-Sharq Al-Awsatdaily, includes E£ 260 million designated for e-commerce and postal authority development projects.  

 

The minister of information and telecommunication, Ahmed Nadheef, stated that the public sector, as well as the private sector, would execute these projects, aiming to develop the necessary telecom infrastructure in the country. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
