Egypt's Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif met with Minister of Planning Osman Mohamed Osman for briefing on the objectives of the economic and social development plan for fiscal year 2004-2005, which targets the increase of the per capita income and providing 650,000 new job opportunities.
"Economic growth is predicted to reach 5 percent this year, compared with 4.1 percent last year," Osman said.
Improving incomes and rural development dominated the talks, Osman said, pointing out that drinking water and sewage projects as well as building schools and hospitals in rural areas are top priorities. (menareport.com)
