Egyptian exports to the United States totaled $360.8 million between February and June 2002. During the same five-month period, American imports to Egypt amounted to $1.4 billion, the Al-Akhbar quoted chamber of commerce officials as stating. This places Egypt’s trade deficit with the US at over one billion dollars.
Egypt chief imports from the US are computers, software, electronic equipment, medical equipment and medications, while Egyptian exports include ready-made clothes, yarn and textiles, furniture, antiques, hand-made carpets, handcrafts, perfumeries, frozen vegetables, ceramics and granite. — (menareport.com)
