Israel Trade Fairs and Convention Center Ltd., the organizers of Plasto Ispack, one of the world top ten plastics, rubber and packaging industry exhibitions, reported that representatives of Saudi, Algerian and Moroccan companies have confirmed their participation in the event’s 2003 edition. Other Gulf firms have yet to confirm their arrival.
“For the first time, a large number of buyers and businessmen are expected from countries in the Middle East, reaping the economic fruits of the peace process between Israel and its Arab neighbors,” stated the organizing firm.
“Plasto Ispack 2003 will be placing emphasis on agricultural products, a field of special concern for the Middle East in general and Israel in Particular,” it added. The exhibition, held every three years, will open in Tel Aviv's Exhibition Gardens on September 1, 2003, and will run until September 4.
The expo will be attended by more than 300 international exporters of raw materials and equipment for the plastic and packaging industry. Turkey, India, China, Thailand the US and Switzerland will set up national pavilions. Plasto Ispack 2003 will spread over 20,000 square kilometers of indoor exhibition. The company expects more than 40,000 professional visitors.
Plasto Ispack 2003 is organized by the Israel Trade Fairs and Convention Center Ltd. under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Commerce and in cooperation with the Society of Israel Plastics & Rubber Industry and the Institute for Advancement of Packaging & Design. — (menareport.com)
